Our personal training is all about you! We design the ideal program for you based on your goals, schedule, medical history, life challenges, and level of motivation.
We motivate you, ensure you train safely and effectively, and make every one of your workouts a great one. You’ll get the most out of your time and get the most out of yourself.
1-on-1, 2-on-1, and 3-on-1 personal training options available!
At 1TO1, our trainers have vast expertise across a wide variety of exercise styles. While every program is tailored to the individual, training is grounded in a core set of principles that guide everything we do.
Movement quality focuses on both the mobility (or flexibility) of the body and the control of that mobility: stability and strength.
We train our clients in all directions, the way the body was meant to move and in ways that will keep them strong, agile, mobile, and safe
Effective core exercises place demands on the entire body from toe to head as one integrated unit.
We train you for life outside the gym, whether that’s playing a sport, keeping up with your grandchildren, carrying luggage, or working in your yard.
1TO1 clients are men and women of all ages and fitness levels, including retired seniors, busy corporate executives, high school athletes, post-partum mothers, homemakers, new exercisers, experienced exercisers, general fitness enthusiasts, sports performance clients, post-rehab clients, and beyond.
The opportunity to help such a variety of people, each with their own interests, needs, goals, and fitness levels, is what makes our work fun, interesting, and rewarding.
While clients initially come to 1TO1 for our personal training and exercise expertise, our business is really about something much deeper: cherished, long-term relationships with wonderful people.
We believe our values, our trainer development process, and the caliber and dedication of our trainers sets 1TO1 apart. 1TO1 trainers are caring professionals with degrees in Exercise Science, along with a range of certifications and continuing education credits.
But credentials are only part of the story.
When we recruit trainers, we are looking for two things:
Genuinely kind, caring people with warm personalities who have chosen the fitness field because they have a deep desire to help others.
A foundational knowledge of anatomy, exercise physiology, and biomechanics that we can build on.
Once hired, every new 1TO1 personal trainer, regardless of their degrees, certifications, or prior experience, goes through our intensive in-house TRAINER development program that we call Trainer School.
1TO1’s Trainer School is one of the most comprehensive and practical trainer development programs in the fitness industry. Led by our Director of Training and Trainer Education, Pat McCloskey, it combines hands-on experience with rigorous educational coursework. Trainees progress through a carefully structured sequence: practicing with colleagues and volunteers, being trained as if they were clients, then training real clients — first with extensive pre-session preparation, then with lighter guidance, and ultimately independently. Along the way, trainees work through educational materials developed by the leading voices in personal training, and build a deep foundation in exercise program design and exercise prescription principles.
